Each phone number has to map to a unique user name. As far as I know, you cannot map two different numbers to the same user name in either Jaiku or Twitter.
thanks. It makes sense I guess but for a minute I thought mobiles might be used to update one jaiku account. So could be used as say classroom voting systems. All text to one number and then make those texts viewable onscreen.
Unless there is some other way to funnel SMSes from various mobiles into one place?
You could cobble together this screen view by (1) getting all the mobile phone owners a Jaiku or Twitter account, (2) following them (and only them) as favorites on Friendfeed, (3) displaying the flow of favorites in real time.

@atmasphere I get ya - you can edit the mobile number in your jaiku account - but you have to do this an reverify each time and cannot use for multiple simultaneous numbers :(

you have to change the number as you go between devices

@atmasphere, you're just messing, right? A phone number on a SIM used on different devices maps to the same user name on Twitter or Jaiku.

I would like to just change my mobile number when traveling but the authorization piece is tricky at times...
